Join the NM Watershed and Dam Owners Coalition sponsored training webinar on “New Mexico NOAA 14 Rainfall Magnitudes and Distributions.” This opportunity is provided by the NMWDOC free of charge to all NMWDOC members, friends, and anyone interested. Our presenters will be Quan D. Quan, Hydraulic Engineer and William Merkel, (Retired) with the NRCS National Water Quality and Quantity Technology Development Team. It has been many years since NOAA Atlas 14 was updated in New Mexico. Engineers, designers and scientists use this rainfall/runoff information to design infrastructure and land grading for storm water management, water quality, flood control, flood risk evaluation, and residential & commercial development (among others). NRCS is in the process of re-evaluating the New Mexico data and the team leading this effort would like to update the engineering & science community on their progress.
