The New Mexico Watershed and Dam Owners Coalition will be holding our 2021 Annual Conference and Membership Meeting September 30th and October 1st. The theme for our Conference will be Healthy Watersheds, Extreme Precipitation, Safe Dam O&M, and How to Fund It. We are also offering two great options for workshops on Wednesday September 29th. Our conference will be held in beautiful Raton, NM, at the Convention Center. We hope that there will be something for everyone to look forward to. To view the agenda CLICK HERE.
Due to internet restrictions will not have a virtual option, but will have an “on-demand” recording of the sessions available for similar cost afterwards (more details on this coming soon). We look forward to seeing you all in Raton for some great fellowship, while following all local, state, and federal safety requirements and guidelines.
We have great speakers and legislators joining us Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon you will have the option of a fun field trip of local dams and watershed restoration or presentations on many funding opportunities, and then we will have a reception at the Raton Museum Thursday evening. Friday we will have a presentation and update on New Mexico’s forests and then we’ll split into less technical and less technical presentations. During lunch on Friday we will finish with a general membership meeting including an update on the good work your Steering Committee has been doing these last two years as well as elections for the Steering Committee. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We will also be sending out information with opportunities to sponsor portions of the conference.
